Boostander is an immersive 25-minute program that allows students the opportunity to build their confidence in bystander intervention through role playing various scenarios. By participating in this program students navigate different bystander opportunities that they may experience in their day-to-day life and learn how to intervene in a positive way that works for them. After going through the scenarios, SAPEC staff debrief their experience with them to better understand how their identity, experience, and background shaped how they intervened.
We are looking for actors and extras to help with scenes that students will work through. We have received consistent feedback from students that this event helped them feel more confident in intervening, especially in understanding what intervention techniques works best for them.
