Send Silence Packing is an all-day exhibit that includes personal stories from individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide and is designed to raise awareness about the impact of suicide, connect individuals to mental health resources, and inspire action for suicide prevention.
This event will be hosted outside on the Watson Library's lawn. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Kansas Union Ballroom and Parlors.
Volunteers for the 7:30 a.m. shift will assist in setting up the display, and the 4 p.m. shift will assist in packing up the display. All other shifts will be assisting us in handing out educational flyers or other assigned tasks.
All volunteers will receive a free Send Silence Packing Volunteer t-shirt, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
