In existence in Lawrence since 1994 and hosted by First Church for nearly 20 years, Jubilee Cafe is a collaborative effort with the students of the University of Kansas to provide a free breakfast to anyone who would like to dine. We serve on Tuesdays and Fridays in Brady Hall, providing restaurant-style service and a menu featuring such favorites as scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy.
The volunteer commitment for KU students working at Jubilee Cafe is 6:15-8:15 am. Volunteers help to take orders, serve, handle the beverage cart, and assist with cleanup. No training is necessary. Please contact jubilee@ku.edu with any questions.
