Contribute to a safe and clean environment at the Lawrence Community Shelter (LCS) by helping the LCS Staff do guests' and shelter laundry!
From the LCS: "Using an onsite clothes washer and clothes dryer, spend 3-4 hours washing, drying, and folding clothes for the clients at the Lawrence Community Shelter. LCS is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment and laundry is a critical part of keeping the families and individuals healthy. While this position does not have a primary focus on client services, it involves some interaction with clients at Lawrence Community Shelter. The ideal volunteer should be comfortable with talking with shelter guests and asking questions to clarify what people (clients and staff) need."

This service opportunity REQUIRES AN ORIENTATION! Orientation dates are the following from 10AM-12PM: 10/12, 10/26, 11/9, 9/23, 12/7.
If you sign up for this event, you are automatically agreeing to attending the immediately preceding orientation. We will be sending your name (and email) to the service coordinator at Lawrence Community Shelter with the expectation that you will be attending that orientation! If you show up at the service event without having attended that orientation, you will not be allowed to volunteer.
