Who We Are
CAAS aims to educate students about social issues influencing their local and global communities and shows students how to make a meaningful impact as active citizens through service and advocacy events.
What We Do
CAAS offers volunteering around campus and in the Lawrence community to get involved in social causes directly tied to current events, including service opportunities with the Lawrence Community Shelter, which targets homelessness; Family Promise, which targets housing insecurity for families; Warm the World, a collaboration with a KU crocheting organization to make blankets to donate to LCS; and various advocacy-related events in partnership with other CCO programs.
