"Volunteers are needed to help the KU Center for Sustainability clean native seeds on Sunday, November 11th, from 10:00am to Noon.
We're thankful and excited that so many seeds were collected by volunteers from the KU and Lawrence community this fall, and now it's time for seed cleaning.
Join us at the Kansas Biological Survey, 2101 Constant Ave. (Higuchi Hall on KU's West Campus). We’ll meet at the front door/lobby area.

"The Prairie Acre is a tract of land, now less than an acre in size, located down the hill and south from Blake and Twente Halls, and just above Sunnyside Avenue at the south entrance to campus. It was never plowed and retains some native prairie species, but has lost the majority of its species, especially wildflowers. The Capstone class of the Environmental Studies Program worked on a restoration plan in spring 2014, which we intend to use as a basis for guiding this work to restore the prairie."
