Join us out at Prairie Acre for our last outdoor workday of the semester! We’ll be working in both Prairie Acre and the Demonstration Garden. Demonstration Garden tasks will include watering, weeding, cutting back overgrown vegetation, collecting seed, and planting a few native plants that have been donated. Inside Prairie Acre we’ll continue our efforts of removing Johnson grass by clipping and collecting its seeds before they fall to the ground.
We’ll meet on the north side of Prairie Acre and as always, please dress accordingly for working in the dirt and tall grass. If you have any questions or would like to sign up to volunteer, please contact Avery Koerner at a428k320@ku.edu.
The Prairie Acre is located south of Blake Hall on the KU Lawrence campus.
