Join Earth and the KU Center for Sustainability on Friday, October 13th and Tuesday, October 17th from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. to collect seeds from different sites around Lawrence for the Prairie Acre Restoration Project. The seeds that will be collected will be cleaned, some of them spread directly on the prairie, while others will be grown in a greenhouse and then planted next spring.
Most of the sites will be located around Rockefeller Prairie, near the Field Station, but more detailed directions will be given out by email the day before the event.
Volunteers are recommended to wear pants and closed-toe shoes for walking through the plants.
