Join us during Into The Streets Week to Clean Up the Kaw River Valley! This event is a partnership with the East Lawrence Neighborhood Association, and is a great way to get out into the Lawrence community and see a unique view of the river. Volunteers will work to remove trash and invasive plant species from the river valley. All tools will be provided, but long sleeves and pants are required, as well as a reusable water bottle.
To get to where we will be meeting, turn north toward the river at the intersection of 7th and New York Streets. Cross the railroad tracks and park in the lower parking lot of the former riverfront mall. Alternative parking is at the Santa Fe/Amtrak train station. Look for a red pick-up truck and a group of volunteers.
