KU Field Station Armitage Education Center
This special presentation about water quality and the Kansas River will begin with an informal reception at 3:30 p.m., followed by a talk at 4 p.m. led by Amy Burgin, Survey scientist and KU associate professor of ecology and evolutionary biology, and Dawn Buehler, Riverkeeper, Friends of the Kaw. They will discuss how science and education can work together to promote public understanding and improvement of our environment. There will be Q&A and discussion at the end of the presentation, as well as an opportunity to walk the grounds of the Armitage Center with Kansas Biological Survey scientists.
