For 41 years, the St. John the Evangelist Mexican Fiesta has celebrated the Mexican-American community in and around Lawrence, Kansas. This festive event includes entertainment by mariachi bands and Mexican folkloric dancers.
The volunteer Fiesta team serves traditional tamales, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos home-made with love by members of the St. John Mexican American community. This family-friendly event includes fun for all ages.
Proceeds of the event supports the St. John Catholic parish and its many ministries that serve parishioners and the Lawrence community at large. Proceeds also provide scholarships for post-secondary education to Mexican youth in the Lawrence area.
