Kansas City's premier triathlon event kicks off on Sunday, May 22nd at Longview Lake Swim Beach.
The Kansas City Sports Commission is looking for eager volunteers who will be assisting in various positions such as aid station, bike course marshall, packet pickup, pre-race & swim support, run course marshall, and transition area & finish line support. Each volunteer will receive an official volunteer tri-blend shirt, complimentary food & beverage, and experience all the excitement of an elite triathlon event. Sign up to volunteer HERE.
Job Descriptions:
- Aid Station: Volunteers will assist with the Water Station by distributing water and providing encouragement to all participants located on the run course.
- Bike Course Marshall (*Must be 18 or older): Bike Course Marshall will ensure safety of participants by monitoring traffic, assisting participants with course direction, and encouraging participants along the bike course.
- Packet Pickup: Distribute packets and participant items to participants while checking them into the online registration system.
- Pre-Race & Swim Support (*Must be 18 or older): Assist all athletes that are getting in and out of the water while providing a watchful eye and positive encouragement.
- Run Course Marshall: Run Course Marshall will ensure safety of participants by monitoring traffic, assisting participants with course direction, and encouraging participants along the bike course.
- Transition Area & Finish Line Support: Transition Area support will help maintain security of the transition area by allowing only participants who have been body marked to enter.
