Come join us for a fun evening of insightful conversations over snacks in in the Kansas Union Traditions Area (4th floor lobby)! The Community Convos series serves as an open space to engage, learn, and practice English conversational skills with other members from the community. Always based around a certain theme, we aim to bring together international and domestic students and discuss what makes us who we are while learning new fun facts and info that you may have never known!
Note: Volunteering at Community Convos counts towards the service component needed to complete the Service Learning and/or Global Awareness Program (GAP) Certificates.

Theme Dates and Descriptions:
1. Wednesday, March 6th at 6 pm “Getting to Know You & KU”
The first Community Convos series, "Getting to Know You" will focus on activities that will help us learn about each other and our interests.
2. Thursday, March 21st at 6 pm “Crafty Convos”
The second Community Convos series, "Crafty Convos" will bring out the true artist in you as we raise our paintbrushes to complete a fun art project over good conversations.
3. Thursday, April 4th at 6 pm “Culinary Convos”
The third Community Convos series, "Culinary Convos" will focus on all things food! Come learn several recipes while we make our own snacks and discover the many different culinary arts presented around the world.
4. Thursday, April 18th at 6 pm “Therapy Talks”
Feeling stressed? Join us for our fifth Community Convos series, "Therapy Talks." Join us as we talk about ways to de-stress in college, learn strategies to minimize stress in college, and participate in self-care activities.
5. Wednesday, May 1st at 6 pm “Night at the Museum 2.0”
The fourth Community Convos series, "Night at the Museum 2.0" is back! Last fall, we explored the many unique wonders of the Spencer Museum of Art. Join us as we return to discover all the great things that make the Spencer so spectacular!
