CCO Project Bridge is hosting an Immigration Climate Conversation: Unpacking TPS for Into the Streets Week 2018. Into the Streets Week is a week of advocacy and service events highlighting building inclusive communities.
This Immigration Climate Conversation will feature a discussion about the social dynamics of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and the current immigration climate with Dr. Cécile Accilien, an Associate Professor of African and African-American Studies and the Director of the Institute of Haitian Studies.
This will take place on Monday, April 30 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. in Alderson Auditorium on the main (4th) floor of the Kansas Union.
This discussion will be followed by a service opportunity to build hygiene kits for refugees living in Kansas City for KC 4 Refugees. Volunteer hours will only be awarded to those who participate in the advocacy (speaker presentation) and the service project.
