Every year, The Lawrence Art Center (LAC) hosts the Art Auction to raise funds for their Exhibitions Program, keeping exhibits free and open to the public for 50 years. This year the auction will feature more than 150 works of art generously donated by participating artists. The LAC is in need of volunteers for their live art auction event on April 11th from 6-10pm. The ideal volunteer has an appreciation for art and can handle quick paced work that involves standing, walking, lifting and carrying chairs, tables, is comfortable handling art, and works well on a team.
Logistics
- Date and Time: Saturday, April 11th from 6-10pm
- Where: The Lawrence Art Center (940 New Hampshire St)
- What to wear: This will be a formal event so dress business casual BUT wear shoes you are comfortable in!
- Where to enter: Volunteers will enter the front doors and check in with the registration table. Once there ask for Blanca Herrada or Kathryn Combs.
- What is expected: Be able to lift up to 30lbs, consistent movement, standing for long periods of time, and work in a fast paced environment.
