Senior loneliness is a well-documented issue and has effects not only on seniors’ mental health but on their physical health. Letters Against Isolation aims to spread by writing handwritten letters to residents of assisted living facilities and care homes.
Reminders:
Please do not address the card to a specific person.
Do not include any personal information including, but not limited to, addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, driver license numbers, and other identifying numbers.
Please do not write any religious comments.
Only sign your first name on the card. Please do not sign your last name on the card.
Instructions:
1. Write however many letters as you like! One letter will count for one service hour.
2. Take a photo of your letter(s) and send the photos to cco@ku.edu (please make sure to include your first and last name in the email). From there mail the letter to their postal address :
