Camp Kesem provides support for kids whose parents have been affected by cancer. Each year, Camp Kesem puts on a free week of summer camp for the kids to let loose and form bonds with other kids going through the same experience.
Right now, we are looking for more volunteers to apply to be counselors this year! Below is some information about our camp this year and the instruction and link to apply to be a counselor. If you’re interested in applying to be a counselor, camp will be held May 26th-June 1st at Camp Wood. Pre-camp trainings will occur in Lawrence May 24th and 25th. In addition to pre-camp trainings, there will be 4 training sessions every other Wednesday beginning in March. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
Additionally, keep in mind that each counselor will have a fundraising goal of $500, but do not let this intimidate you. Do not decide to not apply because you think you cannot meet your fundraising goal! We will have several opportunities to raise money throughout the year, and we have a multitude of resources if you need any help. Do not be afraid to ask us for help at anytime. - Click the link, and click login to create an account.
- If this is your first time applying to be a counselor, click sign up. If you have applied before, log in with your email and password. If you forgot your password, click forget password and reset it.
- Fill out your info and make sure you have selected counselor under “select registration type”
- Once you have signed up, it will direct you back to the homepage where you can select “pick a camp”
- Select the camp session you want to sign up for and click register
- From there, you can begin your application
- Once you have submitted it, you can view the status in the “my applications” tab
- Use the “upload forms” link under the “my applications” tab to upload all supplemental counselor forms for the summer
