Each year, the SELF Engineering Program puts on a competition for high school students called High School Design. More than 500 high school students and teachers from around the state come to KU and participate in various competitions. This year’s theme is “The Heist, Breaking and Engineering”, and students will be participating in events focused around this topic.
This year's High School Design competition is being held on Tuesday, November 3 and we need all the help we can get to make it a success! We are asking for people to help the day of the competition. There are hour time blocks throughout the whole day (from 8:00 - 2:00) at many different stations. If you have some time between classes, please consider helping out! If you volunteer for at least 3 hours, you will get a free T-Shirt, and breakfast and lunch will be served to volunteers who are helping during meal time. We will be holding a volunteer training meeting the night before on Monday, November 2 at 7:30 in the Spahr Engineering Classroom (pizza will be provided!).
