Join the Center for Community Outreach and hundreds of KU students for a day of service in the Lawrence community during Hawk Week!
The CCO will kick off the school year with Super Service Saturday on Saturday, August 22nd. This is a great way to explore service opportunities at the CCO, connect with fellow KU students, and discover non-profit agencies throughout the Lawrence community all in one day!
This service event begins at 11AM in the Kansas Union Ballroom. As students arrive, they will select a site to volunteer at that afternoon from nearly 20 different local agencies. Before leaving to volunteer, attendees can browse through a Volunteer Information Fair to discover other service opportunities on campus and in Lawrence. Students will also receive a free pizza lunch and hear a short program about the CCO and upcoming events. After the program, students will be taken by bus around Lawrence to their different service sites. Around 2pm, buses will return students to the KS Union.
