Join CCO Ability Advocates in the Jawhawk room at 5:30 as they kick off their National Disability Awareness Week with an Introductory ASL Workshop taught by Prof. Larry Finn! Prof. Finn is currently the Curriculum/Assessment Coordinator at the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS, and has been teaching ASL courses at KU since 2011. The workshop will cover an overview of American Sign Language, including fingerspelling, natural gestures, ASL syntax and grammar, body language, and signs. This is an interactive workshop with small group practice as the new concepts are introduced!
