Description

Join us on Thursday, March 27th at 5 pm to learn all about KU's Hawk Route!

The Hawk Route is the accessible route to travel through campus from Sunnyside Av. To Jayhawk Blvd. Leading us through the Hawk Route will be the Director of Facilities Planning and Development, Mark Reiske, and Assistant Vice Provost for Employee Growth, Development, Accessibility, & Inclusion, Jeff Chasen. On top of that, we will also have representation from the Ms. Wheelchair Kansas program!

While walking the route, we will be learning about all the improvements that KU is planning on making to make campus more accessible for people with disabilities. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about and understand the struggles associated with mobility impairment while catching some sunshine! Also, we will have a picnic at the end of the route with snacks and drinks provided!

We will be starting at the bottom of the Hawk Route, in front of Summerfield Hall!
